Senior session — Krista
Krista is a senior at Cabell Midland. We set out around Huntington for her session and despite the lack of sunshine and warmer temperatures, I think we got some great photos. Thanks, Krista, for letting me shoot you! Hope you enjoy the pics!
New blog
Welcome to my new blog! I've had this blog for awhile now and kept dragging my feet on moving my photos over here. So, here we are! I THINK I've imported my former blog correctly, but if the archive gets wonky, head on over there for some past work.

Senior Homecoming
This past weekend was my cousin's senior homecoming. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I can't believe she's a senior. We started off at her house and then made our way to the local park where everyone meets up for group photos. It was a GORGEOUS day and the sky was amazing. I love the blue back drop for all the girls beautiful, colorful dresses. Enjoy!

Family time
We went and visited some great friends this past weekend in Charleston, South Carolina. We've known Steve for more than 10 years and we have a special connection with him, Jorji and their beautiful children. Not only are they dear friends of ours, but their son is Frank's godson. This weekend was truly special to spend time with them. We miss you guys dearly!
To start off, here's a couple pics of Frank and Charlie strolling around Charleston.
On Saturday, we all went to a plantation and did a family session while there. Gorgeous. I had a really hard time figuring out which ones to put on the blog because I love them all, but here's a few.

Support for our troops
I was really excited for this shoot. Ashley contacted me about doing a "boots" shoot as a surprise for her husband. The Boot Campaign is a grassroots initiative for Americans to show their support for active duty service members and veterans. Ashley is an Army wife and wanted to do a shoot in her husband's boots as surprise. We also got the little ones involved, which was adorable. I LOVED shooting her and the farm she picked was perfect. If you're interested in the campaign, take a look at their site. It's a great cause.

Busy weekend
This weekend was packed full of shoots, but it was a great time.
First up was a 3-year-old shoot with Kailyn. I can't believe she's 3 already!
Next up was a maternity shoot with Rachel. Connor will be joining the world in a few short weeks and we were able to squeeze in a quick shoot so Rachel and Shawn can remember this blessed time.
And thirdly was my second cousin Caleb's 1-year-old shoot. I said it for Kailyn and I'll say it for him. I can't believe a year has already gone by. It seems like just yesterday we were all counting down the days for Kathryn to give birth.
It was a busy and tiring Saturday, but I'm so glad they all allowed me to document their lives that day. Thanks again, all! And now, on to some sneak peeks.
